And thank you readers of "Mark of the Jinn: Lost." If you want to see what happens next, you're not alone! There's quite a journey ahead for Gojinn, Kira, Hanta & Ningai.
For now, I hope you'll settle for a little prologue.
Everything seemed fine until the day Gojinn saw what was under Mei's cloth necklace. She had kept her gills hidden from the humans since childhood, but had now let her guard down. In a panic, She tore at Gojinn's sleeve, revealing the mark on his arm and said she would tell the others. Gojinn grabbed her by the arms, trying to keep her from leaving the shore. She pulled out a coral blade, hidden beneath her clothes. Gojinn grabbed the knife and tried to pull it away from her, intending to keep either of them from getting hurt. Nearby, a couple of villagers heard Mei's shrieks and saw something they were not prepared for: Gojinn and Mei struggling with a knife, the cursed mark on his arm, and what appeared to be cuts on her neck. Mei pulled her knife away and disappeared beneath the waves. Gojinn could hear the watchful villagers. They cursed at Gojinn, and called him a murderer and a bearer of the mark. Gojinn didn't know what to do next.
